The O.C Road Trip

I just came back from a road trip to Port Macquarie. Was a bit random how we ended up there and quite a few things happened within those 3 days (including Kat in an ambulance) but overall it was a great trip and I got much needed relaxation time and a break from work!

Kat and I were meant to go to Port Stephens together but after a conversation with Ben from Church (different person to save-the-world-Ben), he was going to Port Macquarie and staying at his friend's house (Alan) which is right next to the river. Alan was staying with 2 other doctors in this HUGE house so Kat and I went up with Ben and Gilead so it saved us having to plan accomodation etc. Btw I didn't know Ben very well but went up on a road trip with him anyways haha! But I got to know him on the trip and us four pretended to be Somer, Seth, Ryan and Marissa from the OC (an asian version).

These pics are taken from the balcony of the backyard- they have their own wharf! It's so OC. And I woke up early on Sunday and looked outside and saw THE END OF A RAINBOW! I got so excited but there was no pot of gold or leprechauns. So here's proof that I've seen the end of a rainbow.

Ben and I woke up early after seeing the end of the rainbow on Sunday morning and went for a walk/jog through the beaches.

We found a hidden beach and called it OC beach.

When Ben and I were at the beach, Kat and the others went sailing and Kat got hit by the boom and got knocked overboard. An ambulance was called but she was under good hands because we were living with 3 doctors. I rushed to the hospital and when I saw her, she was all mummified with blood everywhere and looking shaky. They let me stay with her when she got X-rays done and when she got stitches done. I felt like I was in Grey's Anatomy and the hospital was actually quite fun once I realised Kat would be okay.

Pictures speak more than words so I'll put up other photos from the road trip. I'm so tired!

Fishing and reading in Alan's backyard wharf

The beach when I woke up early to go for a jog. Ben kissing a fish he caught.

Cheesy O.C poses (Kat is meant to be Marissa but looks like Julie Cooper here)

Us being immature. We stopped in the middle of the freeway to take pictures of us pretending to be constipated under a sign that said 'Poo'.

  • thanx mel for such a great weekend! even though things didn't really go my way. I enjoyed our converstaions on the jetty, taking random pooing pictures in the middle of the highway but i enjoyed your company most of all. Thank you for holding my hand in the hospital and keeping me calm. I wonder what will happen on our next road trip, can't wait. I love you lots, kat xoxo.

  • oh poor you kat! I got hit by a boom once, no twice, and it feels like I have been whacked by a baseball bat (not that I have experienced that) so I can sympathetize.

the first two photos look so idyllic. Mm a weekend retreat by the waters sound divine in the midst of work and stress.

and what is all these references to OC? dont shoot me, but I never seen an episode. but then again, I don't watch TV.

    Tadaa, my dear

  • HAAAAAAAAA
My goodness, I haven't seen the OC in ages...or any tv for that matter... nor music... a whole lotta bloody reggaeton, dogs havin sex (bitch on top...horny, horny thing) and my hot housemate who lives in the room next door playin guitar, keyboard or throwin paintbombs onto his artworks which are attached to the wall which we share... or Italy next on my other side chattin on Skype at 3am... or me with my non existent voice and green flem filled cough..MmmmMM... been sober for 3 days!!! oh yeahhhh.. now my landlord is singin opera..
As for accidents, yes yes, always gettin myself into trouble... in Montanismo (mountaineering), we were learning how to tie knots and then we were havin competitions in teams to see who could tie different knots the fastest!! Anywho, after tying a knot, you have to run 20 metres to Ernesto (our instructor) so as I had completed a knot the same time the guy from the next team did, we were running and i somehow unco-ly tripped in his knot, cord thing... since i never wear shoes and run barefoot, as I fell, the cord went the other way and scraped skin off, so now I have this sexy rope burn across the top of my right foot, YUMMY!! (But when it happened, all the boys came running to see if I were ok...) That's right... 6 girls and 22 boys!! And they're all gorgeous and sweet... however I think I may be in lust with a Spaniard... that I met while travelling... Hehheh dogs are porking again... bitch on top as always...but wait she's goin doggy style... okies, have to study now... Yes, I do study!! LOVE U, MISS U, MUWAHSZ Xx
