Miss Universe and me!

Here is a pic of me and Jennifer Hawkins! From the media, I didn't think she was all that spectacular but she is absolutely stunning in real life and a very down to earth girl. I'll post up better pics when I get them sent to me.

Say Hello

Hey you all!
Quite a few people sometimes know about my life although I haven't seen them for awhile. They say its because they've read my blog. I put in a counter about a week and a half ago and I've already reached 200 hits!! Who are you all?? (ok about 20 of the hits probably mine, checking and wondering incredulously who could be reading my blog).
Please drop a comment just to say hi! It doesn't matter if I don't know you (I leave comments in other peoples blogs that I find interesting on the Net). I realise I do write a lot of personal stuff which I guess I should be embarassed about but I don't really care anymore. So please drop a comment and say hello.
I also really like Deep Dish's song 'Say Hello'. Her voice and the music creates a feeling of sadness and nostalgia but at the same time happiness? For some reason it makes me think of needing to move on because there is the whole world to explore yet wanting to cling onto the past. Don't worry if you don't get what im talking about. Just that dance songs with chicks singing in a high voice creates all sorts of moods.

I love all things random!

Two Sundays ago, I woke up groggily to get ready to go play touch footy and then opened my handbag I took out the night before to look for my phone. When opening the bag, some potpourri leaves fell out. I was like wtf??? I picked up the leaves and peered closely, squinting to see whether someone had planted marijuana in my bag. My bag smelt quite pleasant and fragrant so I sniffed the leaves and realised that the scent smelt familiar. They smelt like Sal! Sal was this wonderful gay guy I met the night before and I had complimented on his cologne (well, it was probably perfume). I guess he had put the potpourri leaves in my bag as a memory of him - very random indeed!

I love random things. They make me laugh and smile and feel silly. Sal and Mark (the gay couple I met) live on the most expensive street in Paddington and in their house they have gigantic expensive birds. Sal wants to adopt me as a mini-Sal (the obvious difference with me being straight and being a girl) and take me to gay raves where I'd be the belle of the ball - "Everyone will LOVE you! You're way too cute!".

Another random person is Chris.M. He's a bouncer, in the army and a model yet he knits and listens to Andrea Bocelli. He currently has a hole in his backyard that he dug up himself so that he can practice jumping out of it so that he gets jumping muscles. This is so he can achieve the feat of jumping over his car. (Omg!).

Random events are fun too. Para and I were once stopped to be interviewed for Mexican news. The newsreader held the mike in front of me and asked whether I would be able to dig a hole to China from where I was standing. And another time, Para and I walked into an artistic T-shirt exhibition, thinking it was a clothes shop. There was free alcohol, heaps of design students, so I pretended to be arty farty and someone actually thought I had designed one of the t-shirts and asked me where my inspiration came from. After being photographed for the SMH and feeling a bit giddy from the free grog, Para and I left.

The best random image in mind which I think of fondly was at 3am on a Saturday night at Kings Cross walking past trendy girls crowded around a bunch of bums playing music and dancing the night away! I love how music brings all types of people together - it didn't matter that they were bums and didn't have as much class or money as the girls, but they both shared a common passion- the music- and danced the night away ...

This is my random friend Chris.M. He compares meeting me to the butterfly effect. I met him a year ago and through me, I sent his pictures to Henri who put him in a fashion show. Then through meeting Henri, he got a job as a bouncer. As a bouncer, he's met Heath Ledger and Megan Gale! One night when he was working on security, a girl gave him the contact for Peter Chadwick. He went to Chadwicks and is now a model and has travelled around and done cool shoots! Funny how one thing leads to another which is why we should always be open to opportunities. Whenever I suggest something to him, he's up for it which is why he does so many random things! (photo from sir3n.com and permission given by Chris.M to write about his randomness and put his photo in!).

Bye Bye my Bestie!

According to Dolly magazine, "bestie" is the new, hip term for best friend. That word just encapsulates what the magazine is like. Anyways, this post is not about bagging out Dolly but about a girl that I’ve become really close friends to this year – my best friend Chris.

I met Chris when she was copying off my test in Chinese class. She's a crazy, fun, random, very unique and loving girl and I always have so much fun with her. Here are some pics from her camera of the past month:

These are photos of Chris, Michelle, me, Jesse, group pic of friends (plus Em the coolest 17 yr old chick i know), and Cameron (MC Shureshock).

I've been looking at video clips that Chris has taken at our times out and they seriously make me want to laugh and cry at the same time. OMG we LOVE the music, we FEEL the music, we are feeling LIFE! That is what being young is all about and those are memories that will be engrained in us for the rest of our lives!

Chris has gone to Chile on exchange for a year. Just got an email from her and I guess she's doing fine as she has just gotten off the plane drunk as she had met a Uruguayan chick and Brazilian guy on the flight who got trashed with her. Love you Chris! Live the Moment!

Shut up I want to talk to the guy who knows David Hotness Beckham!

My arm is covered with stamps from all the clubs I went to last night (and all for free- yay!) but we stayed most of our time in Dragonfly which is unusual because Chris and I usually avoid pretentious places. We were sitting in a booth and Chris's friend who is a bodyguard told us that a Manchester United player was with him and the guy sat down with a chick in our booth. He was wearing this massive watch covered with diamonds and a diamond earring in one ear. He was pretty good looking as well!

I know nothing about sport stars but I do know David Hotness Beckham (well, used to be hot. Not sure about his hair and is teetering towards the side of over-metrosexuality). I was told his name was Dwight Yorke and played for Manchester United and he had been sitting with us for awhile looking bored because he didn't know anyone. They looked so lonely and bored so after I got a drink I was going to talk to the bored pair in our booth but the bodyguard then smiled at me.

BODYGUARD: Hey! Why didn't you buy me a drink?

ME: Because I don't know you. (Why would I buy a stranger a drink? I work but don't have enough money to buy drinks to randoms!)

BODYGUARD: How old are you?

ME: (Ew you're way too old you 40 year old sleaze). I'm 21.

BODYGUARD: Do you have a boyfriend?

ME: (Technically I don't. Better watch what I say ...) No ... but I'm-

BODYGUARD: I own Good Bar

ME: (Who cares if you own Good Bar.. is that your pick up line to pick up young girls? I think he's expecting me to say yes I'll sleep with you because you own Good Bar) That's nice. I'm going to the bathroom.

Bodyguard was a bit miffed and when I came back to the booth, he and Dwight Yorke had gone.

Did a google search just then though. Perhaps it's good that I didn't talk to Dwight last night!

"DWIGHT Yorke has moved to Sydney FC but the former Manchester United star's sexual exploits are still making headlines in Britain....Yorke teamed up with Bosnich, his former Aston Villa colleague, for an orgy with four women that he videoed ....."We used to go on holiday to places like Ibiza and there would be one topless girl after another coming to talk to him as if I wasn't there."

Sounds like a bit of a player! But he didn't look like one. No wonder the girl with him was clinging onto him to dear life. "Women would throw themselves at me," he says [The Australian].

Why do all guys just think about sex!

Being 21

I think 21 is a great age- just the right age to do anything. You're not too old and not too young. I was at Greenwood on a Thursday night the other night for a friend's 22nd birthday drinks. (Remember those drunken Berry St Tavern days where we were all still discovering our alcohol limits?). I've always been used to feeling the youngest - at work, in clubs etc. However, for once in my life I felt old! Everyone looked about 16 to me and I felt very very strange there but still danced sillily (yes, i just made up that word) along to the pop music because who cares what high school people think of us. I've been going to the X a lot more and I don't feel too young although the majority of people are older than me.

However, I admit that I'm still quite immature. It was only yesterday that I spent an hour in Big W spying on my cousin who works there and throwing toy balls at him and running off around the store, hiding between the aisles so he wouldn't catch me.

I do think I'm growing old though because I've reached the danger zone of looking down on people who are younger than me and act silly rather than joining in with them. I shouldn't really do that but I think everyone does although we used to be like that. But then you don't want to be the old fart who tries to be young and cool when they really are too old.

Would I wear rabbit ears out anymore? I don't think so. Must be getting old!
